Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Policy applies to Roscommon Group websites, inquiry forms, mobile applications, software, and related digital products. A product-specific notice may provide additional details and will control if it conflicts with this general Policy. This Policy does not govern a client project or a third party’s website, product, or service. A separate client agreement may contain additional privacy and data-processing terms.

2. Afterglow

Afterglow does not require an account and does not include ads, third-party analytics, cross-app tracking, or a Roscommon Group backend. Roscommon Group does not receive or store your precise location, forecast history, app settings, or purchase history.

Location and forecast data

If you allow location access, Afterglow uses your coordinates on your device to calculate darkness and to sample a downloaded NOAA aurora model. Your coordinates are not sent to NOAA by Afterglow. The app sends coordinates to Apple Weather through WeatherKit to request local cloud cover. Apple processes that request under its own privacy terms. You can deny or revoke location permission in iOS Settings; the app will continue with less-local information.

Afterglow downloads public space-weather information directly from the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center. As with an ordinary web request, NOAA and network providers may receive technical data such as an IP address, request time, and device-network information. Roscommon Group does not receive those request logs.

Purchases and on-device storage

Apple processes Premium purchases through the App Store. Afterglow receives product information and a cryptographically verified entitlement from StoreKit; it does not receive your payment-card information. App preferences, the most recent forecast snapshot, accepted Terms version, and Premium state are stored locally on your device or in the app’s private shared container for its widget. TestFlight builds may also store your Premium-preview choice locally.

3. Website information collected

Information you provide

The inquiry form collects your name, email address, company, and project description, along with your acceptance of the current Terms. If you later communicate with Roscommon Group, those communications and related business records may also be retained.

Information collected automatically

Hosting, security, analytics, and form-processing providers may automatically receive technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, domain or referring page, requested pages, interactions, timestamps, and security or diagnostic logs. This website uses Google Analytics, which may use cookies and similar technologies to measure visits and usage.

Sensitive information

Do not submit passwords, access keys, payment-card data, government identifiers, health information, trade secrets, or other regulated or highly sensitive information through the form.

4. How information is used

Information may be used to:

• evaluate and respond to an inquiry;
• communicate about a potential or existing business relationship;
• operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website;
• measure traffic, referral sources, and website interactions;
• prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access;
• maintain appropriate business and consent records; and
• comply with law and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

5. How information is disclosed

Information may be disclosed to:

• Formspree, which receives, processes, stores, and delivers form submissions;
• Vercel and other infrastructure, hosting, security, or email providers needed to operate the website and respond;
• Google Analytics, which provides website traffic and usage measurement;
• professional advisers, contractors, and personnel with a legitimate need to support the business;
• authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or prevent abuse; and
• a buyer, successor, or adviser in a financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business.

Roscommon Group does not sell or rent personal information and does not use it itself for cross-context behavioral advertising. Google may process analytics data as described in its policies.

6. Service providers and external sources

Form submissions are processed by Formspree. Its handling of submission and technical data is described in the Formspree Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab). The website is hosted on Vercel and uses Google Analytics. Google explains how it uses data from websites that use its services in Google’s partner-sites disclosure (opens in a new tab). Afterglow uses Apple WeatherKit, StoreKit, and NOAA data as described above. Providers and data sources process information under their own terms and policies and may use infrastructure in the United States or other countries.

7. Retention

Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including evaluating a potential engagement, maintaining business and consent records, complying with law, and resolving disputes. Retention periods vary with the nature of the information and relationship. Information may be deleted, deidentified, or retained longer when reasonably needed for legal obligations or claims.

8. Security

Roscommon Group uses reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the information handled and relies on established service providers for hosting and form processing. No application, website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Roscommon Group will not discriminate against you for making a valid request.

Submit a request through the inquiry form on the home page and begin the message with “Privacy Request.” Roscommon Group may need to verify your identity and authority before acting and may retain or deny a request where permitted by law. Roscommon Group does not offer a sale opt-out because it does not sell personal information. Analytics cookie choices are described below.

You can limit analytics cookies through your browser settings or use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (opens in a new tab). Blocking cookies may affect some website functionality.

10. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

This website does not currently track visitors across unaffiliated websites for targeted advertising. Because “Do Not Track” is not a uniform standard, the website does not take separate action in response to that signal. Legally recognized opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, will be honored where applicable if website practices change in a way that requires it.

11. Children

The website and Afterglow are not directed to children under 13, and Roscommon Group does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through them. Do not submit the inquiry form if you are under 18. A Product intended for children, if offered, will have a product-specific notice and controls.

12. International use

Roscommon Group is based in the United States. If you access the website or a Product from another country, information handled by applicable providers may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.

13. Policy changes

This Policy may be updated to reflect changes in Product practices or law. The revised version and effective date will be posted here. Material changes may also be announced through a conspicuous website notice. Changes apply prospectively.
